Buick Riviera History

The 1963 Buick Riviera is an American luxury automobile that was produced by General Motors for three model years (1963–1965). It was introduced in September 1962 at the New York World’s Fair, where it won the “World’s Most Beautiful Car” award.

The 1963 Buick Riviera had a sleek design with a long hood and short rear deck.

In addition to its beauty, the buick 1963 riviera also offered some unique features such as a power sunroof, power steering, power brakes, power windows, power seats, and power door locks.

The car's engine was a V6 with four valves per cylinder.

The 1963 Buick Riviera came equipped with a 2.5 liter inline 6 engine that produced 150 horsepower. This engine was mated to a 4 speed manual transmission.

The car could reach speeds up to 100 mph.

n addition to being a very fast car, the  1963 Buick Riviera also had some other features that set it apart from other models at the time. It featured an automatic choke system, power steering, power brakes, power windows, power seats, and even power mirrors.

The car was available as a coupe or convertible.

The Riviera came with two different body styles: a hardtop coupe and a soft-top convertible. Both versions were powered by a V8 engine producing 200 horsepower.

The car was produced from 1962 to 1964.

In 1962, Buick introduced the Riviera as a replacement for the LeSabre. It was available only as a hardtop coupe. The following year, the Riviera became available as both a hardtop coupe and a convertible.
